The Samuel Staten, Sr. Charitable Trust's "Making a Difference" Award celebrates individuals who embody the trust's mission by showcasing how organized labor positively impacts our communities. Recipients are honored for their dedication to charitable and labor-related initiatives that inspire change and uplift others. This prestigious award is presented annually during the trust’s golf outing, recognizing and amplifying the meaningful contributions of those who truly make a difference.
The first ever "Making A Difference" Award was presented to Samuel Staten, Sr. in 2009. He presented the award to his son, Samuel Staten, Jr. in 2010.
